Temario:
From the 26th to the 31st July 2010, you will be most welcome in Punta del Este, Uruguay, to gather at the ICVM-9. Past and present South American vertebrate diversity will be celebrated in this meeting, although we are confident that the meeting will be as ecumenical as the previous eight, with scientists from all over the world conveying the joy of morphological discovery in its widest sense.

Congress schedule:

Confirmed plenary speakers:

- Arkhat Abzhanov (Harvard, USA) works on the evolution of craniofacial patterning in Darwin's finches.

- Eugenia del Pino (PUC, Ecuador) works on the embryonic development of several kinds of tropical frogs with unusual reproductive systems.

- Melina Hale (Chicago, USA) works on biomechanics and neurobiology of axial locomotion in fishes.

- Gabriel Marroig (USP, Brazil) works on the evolution of morphological integration using combinations of landmark morphometrics and quantitative genetics with evolutionary implications.

- Peter Wainwright (Davis, USA) works on comparative functional morphology addressing questions about the origins and consequences of functional diversity.
